What the Airtable Integration Does
The Email Verifier by EcomTech Airtable integration enables email verification directly within your Airtable bases, bringing the power of our email verifier to the flexible database platform used by teams for everything from CRM management to event planning. The integration works through an Airtable extension that adds verification capabilities to any base containing email data. Select an email column, click verify, and the extension processes each record through our 7-layer verification engine, writing results back to your base in new columns for status, risk score, email type, and verification date. You can also use Airtable Automations with webhook actions to trigger verification automatically when new records are created or updated.
Airtable has become the go-to platform for teams that need more flexibility than a spreadsheet but less complexity than a full CRM. Marketing teams use it to manage campaign contacts. Event organizers use it to track attendee registrations. Sales teams use it as a lightweight prospecting database. Agencies use it to manage client contact lists. In all of these use cases, email data quality is critical but often overlooked. Teams import contacts from various sources, manually enter email addresses, and collect form submissions without validation. Over time, bases accumulate invalid, outdated, and disposable email addresses that cause problems when the data is exported for email campaigns or outreach. Our Airtable integration solves this by making verification a native part of your Airtable workflow. Verify new records automatically through automations, verify existing records in bulk through the extension, or verify individual records on demand. The verification results stay in your base, enabling you to filter, sort, group, and act on email quality data using all of Airtable powerful view and automation features.
Step-by-Step Setup Guide
Install the Airtable Extension
Open your Airtable base and click the Extensions panel on the right side. Click Add an Extension and search for EV Email Verifier in the marketplace. Click Add to install the extension in your base. The extension requires permission to read and write records in your base. It does not access data from other bases or workspaces.
Configure Your API Key
Open the EV Email Verifier extension and enter your Email Verifier by EcomTech API key in the settings panel. Click Test to verify the connection. If you need an API key, sign up at our email verifier page for 100 daily free verifications and find your key in the dashboard under API Keys. The API key is stored securely within the extension configuration.
Select Your Email Field and Configure Output
In the extension, select the table and field containing email addresses. Choose which verification result fields to create: Status, Risk Score, Email Type, Suggested Action, and Verified Date. The extension creates these as new fields in your table. You can rename them after creation to match your existing naming convention. Configure whether to verify all records or only those in the current view.
Run Verification on Existing Records
Click Verify All in the extension to process all records in your selected view. The extension shows progress in real-time as it verifies each email and writes results back to your base. For tables with thousands of records, the process runs in batches to respect Airtable API limits. You can pause and resume verification at any time. Already-verified records are skipped unless you explicitly choose to re-verify.
Set Up Automations for New Records
Create an Airtable Automation to verify emails on new records automatically. Set the trigger to When a record is created or When a record matches conditions. Add a Send Webhook action pointed at our verification API endpoint with the email field mapped to the request body. Add an Update Record action to write the verification response back to the record. This creates a fully automated verification pipeline.
Create Views Based on Verification Results
Use Airtable filtered views to segment your data by verification status. Create a Valid Contacts view with Status equals Valid for clean export lists. Create a Needs Attention view for Invalid and Risky records that need review. Group records by Email Type to see the distribution of personal, role-based, and disposable addresses. Color-code records by status for visual scanning in grid or kanban views.
