What the Salesforce Integration Does
The Email Verifier by EcomTech Salesforce integration brings enterprise-grade email verification directly into your Salesforce org. Once installed from the AppExchange, the integration adds custom verification fields to your Lead, Contact, and Account objects and provides both real-time and batch verification capabilities. Every email address that enters your Salesforce instance can be automatically validated through our email verifier engine, which performs syntax checks, domain validation, MX record analysis, SMTP mailbox verification, disposable email detection, and spam trap identification with 99.5% accuracy.
For sales teams, this means every outreach email reaches a real inbox. For marketing teams, it means campaign lists contain only deliverable addresses. For operations teams, it means CRM data quality is maintained automatically without manual intervention. The integration processes verifications through our high-availability API infrastructure, returning results in under one second for real-time checks and handling bulk verification jobs of millions of records for enterprise customers. Custom validation rules can optionally prevent records with invalid emails from being saved, and verification results are fully reportable through Salesforce reports and dashboards. Whether you are a small team with a few thousand contacts or an enterprise with millions of records, the Salesforce integration scales to meet your data quality needs.
Step-by-Step Setup Guide
Install the AppExchange Package
Visit the Salesforce AppExchange and search for Email Verifier by EcomTech. Click Get It Now and choose to install in your production or sandbox org. The managed package installs custom fields, Apex classes, Lightning components, and permission sets needed for the integration. Installation takes about 2 minutes and does not require any downtime.
Connect Your Email Verifier by EcomTech Account
After installation, navigate to the EV Email Verifier tab in Salesforce and enter your API key from your Email Verifier by EcomTech dashboard. Click Test Connection to verify the link is working. If you do not have an account yet, sign up at our email verifier page. The connection uses encrypted API calls over TLS 1.3 to ensure your data remains secure.
Configure Verification Settings
Choose which objects to verify (Leads, Contacts, Accounts, or custom objects). Enable real-time verification to validate emails when records are created or updated. Set your preferred verification threshold: strict mode blocks all non-valid emails, standard mode allows risky emails, and permissive mode only blocks clearly invalid addresses. Configure field mappings if you use custom email fields.
Add Verification Fields to Page Layouts
The package includes custom fields for verification status, risk score, email type, and last verified date. Add these fields to your Lead, Contact, and Account page layouts so your team can see verification results at a glance. For Lightning Experience, drag the EV Verification component onto your record pages for a visual verification summary with one-click re-verification.
Run Initial Bulk Verification
For existing records, use the Bulk Verify feature in the EV Email Verifier tab. Select the object type and optionally filter by list view, record type, or custom criteria. Click Start Verification to begin processing. The system verifies emails in batches of 200 records, respecting Salesforce governor limits. Progress is displayed in real-time and you receive an email notification when the job completes.
Create Reports and Dashboards
Build Salesforce reports using the verification fields to monitor data quality. Create dashboard components showing the percentage of valid, invalid, and risky emails across your database. Set up scheduled reports to track verification trends over time. Use report filters to identify records that need attention and create list views for your team to follow up on risky or unverified contacts.
