What the Zoho CRM Integration Does
The Email Verifier by EcomTech Zoho CRM integration connects our email verifier directly to your Zoho CRM instance, providing automated email verification for leads, contacts, accounts, and custom modules. The integration uses Zoho CRM custom functions and webhook capabilities to verify email addresses through our 7-layer verification engine whenever records are created, updated, or on demand through bulk operations. Results are stored in custom fields on each record, making verification data accessible throughout the Zoho ecosystem including Zoho Campaigns, Zoho Desk, Zoho Analytics, and all other Zoho One applications.
Zoho CRM users benefit from the platform tight integration with other Zoho applications, but this interconnectedness also means that data quality issues in the CRM propagate across the entire suite. Invalid email addresses entered as leads flow into Zoho Campaigns where they cause bounces. They appear in Zoho Desk where support agents waste time on unreachable contacts. They pollute Zoho Analytics reports with inflated contact counts. Our integration addresses the root cause by verifying emails at the point of entry into Zoho CRM. When a new lead is captured from a web form, imported from a spreadsheet, or created manually by a sales rep, the integration verifies the email address and stores the result. Invalid emails are flagged immediately so they can be corrected or removed before spreading through your Zoho ecosystem. For existing databases, bulk verification processes all records across selected modules, giving your team a complete picture of your CRM data quality. The integration supports workflow rules, Blueprint transitions, and scheduled functions, allowing you to build sophisticated data quality automation that runs within Zoho CRM native capabilities.
Step-by-Step Setup Guide
Install the Zoho CRM Extension
Visit the Zoho Marketplace and search for EV Email Verifier. Click Install and authorize the extension in your Zoho CRM organization. The extension installs custom fields, custom functions (Deluge scripts), and widget components needed for the integration. Installation takes about 2 minutes and works with both Zoho CRM Standard and Zoho CRM Plus.
Configure API Connection
Open the Email Verifier by EcomTech widget in Zoho CRM and enter your Email Verifier by EcomTech API key. Click Test Connection to verify the integration is working. The API key is stored securely in Zoho CRM connection settings. If you do not have an account, sign up at our email verifier page for 100 free monthly verifications and get your API key from the dashboard.
Select Modules for Verification
Choose which Zoho CRM modules to verify: Leads, Contacts, Accounts, or any custom modules with email fields. For each module, the extension adds custom fields for EV Status, EV Score, EV Type, and EV Verified Date. These fields are added to the module layout and are available for use in views, reports, workflow rules, and Blueprint configurations.
Set Up Workflow Rules for Auto-Verification
Create Zoho CRM workflow rules that trigger email verification when records are created or updated. The extension provides a custom function that can be called from any workflow rule. For example, create a workflow rule on the Leads module that triggers when a record is created and calls the Email Verifier by EcomTech Verify Email function. The function verifies the email and updates the custom fields automatically.
Run Bulk Verification on Existing Records
Use the Email Verifier by EcomTech widget to start a bulk verification job on any module. Select the module, optionally filter by custom view, and click Start Verification. The extension processes records in batches using scheduled functions, respecting Zoho CRM API limits. Large databases with over 100,000 records can be scheduled to process during off-hours. You receive a notification when the job completes.
Leverage Verification Data Across Zoho
Use the verification custom fields throughout the Zoho ecosystem. In Zoho Campaigns, create mailing lists filtered by EV Status equals Valid. In Zoho Analytics, build dashboards showing data quality trends across modules. In Zoho CRM, create custom views showing only verified contacts for your sales team. Set up Blueprint transitions that require email verification before advancing records through your sales process.
